A quick but unfortunate update

I am aware that I have previously written two fairly long posts and then posted nothing for a while. Unfortunately I had something quite terrible happening in my life which I hoped I would never have to inform anyone of the outcome.

My dear big sister, Sarah Louise Falvey sadly passed away peacefully on Friday 7th August at 1600hrs after battling lung cancer for just over 2 years. There was a fairly rapid deterioration over the previous 48 hours which it seems no one could have foreseen and it came as a very big shock to us all even knowing that her prognosis wasn't good. Sarah has left behind her 3 children; Patrick (9), Emily (6) and Henry (3) along with her partner, 2 brothers, our mum and myself along with so very many extended family members, friends and colleagues. She played a very big part in a such a lot of people's lives.

As a family, we have set up a fundraising page with Just Giving as we have asked that instead of buying flowers, people can donate to a good cause, supporting Sarah's legacy and ensuring that Cancer Research UK have our full backing to help find a cure for this dreadful disease. I know that Sarah felt strongly about this and it's only right that this is the way we should pay tribute.

The page for donations is here:

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their ongoing support through the last two years up to now. Everything has been greatly appreciated by myself, my family and Sarah herself.

I'm struggling for words, currently but all I'll say now is that I know I will forever love and miss my funny, often silly, wise and always nagging big sister. I don't know who will take her place making faces with me behind my mum's back or who will join me for a yearly West End musical day out but the fun times we did have doing such things can never be taken away.

Falv
