But anyway. To those of you who don't know me and have stumbled upon this post...greetings to you. *accompanied by an awkwardly long handshake*. I'm not going to type out a whole "getting to know me" type essay because I fear it'll start looking like a dating profile. No one needs that from me. Hopefully you'll just get to know me through what I talk about in each post.
There's been a few things happening recently that I've had strong opinions on and maybe that's a good place to start. I'm not generally a very serious person so not everything I write will be like this but I will do when I think of it because...well...I don't write things down otherwise and I'll just forget.
I'll start with the Hunting Act. I didn't vote Conservative at the 2015 election for many reasons. This is one of them. I'm one of those people who actually read every party's manifesto to decide who to vote for. Which is actually how it should work - vote for policies not just who you've always voted for which some people I know did and I was very disappointed in. Mainly because when I said "do you know they want to bring back fox hunting?" they said no and they don't agree with it. Because they had no idea what they were actually voting for without reading through policies. If you tell me you voted for whichever party for the reason that that's what you believe is right and they had the most policies that you agree with, then fine. I don't mind who people vote for when it's what they believe is best for our country on the grounds of their policies not people.
On the 15th July our MP's will vote on the Hunting Act. I physically wrote a letter (I know, how old fashioned of me!) to my local MP a couple of months ago as she is conservative I thought she'll probably side with her party. There's a site that lets you do this a much easier way now though which is here:
http://action.peta.org.uk/ea-action/action?ea.client.id=5&ea.campaign.id=38695
All you have to do is fill in the form. It's really that simple. It just sends an email to your local MP, you can change what it says if you want to but the main thing is that MP's know there are more people who don't want this change than people who do.
If you support hunting there is something wrong with you and you should seek help from a therapist. It is a psychotic act where posh, men (who are often too rich for their own good and don't know what else to do with their time) on horseback surrounded by dogs chase and rip apart 1 defenceless animal for absolutely no reason than their own entertainment. Don't they say that murderers usually start with animals? Oh no, sorry Prime Minister...I forgot...we're blaming that on video games aren't we?
I know that people say foxes are pests...they come into our cities, our gardens to rummage in our bins kill our hens etc. Don't you think that maybe this is actually the other way round? We encroach on THEIR countryside where they were living quite happily uninterrupted and build housing and shopping centres. Then wonder why they're coming into OUR space, even though we're providing them with great opportunities to find dinner where we've taken away so much of their natural habitat that they would previously have found there next meal in.
Now I know this was all a bit political...most posts won't be. This is just such a barbaric thing they're trying to legalise again that I can't believe it's 2015 and it's even being questioned. I hope that one day it'll be taught in schools and all the kids will be all "WHAT? They actually did those things?!". You know, like when we talk about witch trials.
Before I go can we just talk about Lego Dimensions for a minute? I was excited. Like, really excited. And then they launched the Doctor Who trailer and I could have wet myself. That's quite frankly all I want in life. Where every other DW based game has failed rather miserably, this looks to be incredible. Obviously I'd be quite happy with just a Lego Doctor Who game but now I'll be able to make that Doctor Who/Back To The Future crossover happen that I've been narrating in my head for a while now. Yay!
One small (quite big) problem though. It's so expensive! I just went over to the Game website and stupidly thought "lets put everything in the basket" and proceeded to add absolutely every Lego Dimensions product (1 starter pack for PS4 and every fun pack, team pack and level pack) that is currently available to preorder to the basket. The total stands at £754.64.
Crikey. I don't think I'll be getting that for my birthday. Back to the lottery...
It's now 1am so I'll go now because I'm upsetting my cats who are waiting at my bedroom door. They do like their routine!
Please let me know what you think by commenting and/or tell me what you'd like me to talk about next time.

PS. Sorry this is so long, maybe I'll vary it a bit and write some short ones too!
Love this introductory post! Straight to the point on things you care about. Still curious about what your dating profile would look like though.
